Identified potential cause of river pollution at Sungai Semenyih. They also successfully engaged media (received 20 media coverages) to cover issues surrounding Sungai Semenyih which led to active response from the relevant agencies.

Project Output:
31 primary school students gained knowledge to conduct chemical and biological assessment and comparison of Bertam River (muddy) and Pauh River (clean). They have gained awareness and understanding about the importance of clean river and the current state of water quality of rivers in Cameron Highland.

Love Our Rivers Campaign
Project Output:
Aim to conserve and protect Sungai Kolam Air Panas, they managed to increase awareness among the local communities and visitors as well as tourists on keeping the area clean. They also supported River Run event participated by 3,300 people from local and international such as Japan and Africa.

Project Outputt:
Through successful river clean-up and awareness programmes, less solid waste problem was noticed around the area leading to Sungai Kuyoh. They also successfully had the residents of Seri Serdang to voluntarily joined clean-up activities.

Project Output:
The project successfully empowered the Orang Asli with knowledge and technical skills on how to build and maintain Aquaponic System for an additional income through knowledge transfer by the UCSI University students. This has also resulted to increased capacity about aquaponic system among the students via practical activities.

Ulu Yam River Rehabilitation
Project Output:
The river was facing littering issue from the visitors. Upon winning the grant, the project began by installing rubbish trap net and 15 reminder signboards to keep the river clean. 20 volunteers came to help out with the installation and clean up the river. In 6 months, the amount of litters successfully reduced.

Kawasan Rukun Tetangga Taman Meru Perdana 1

Water, Drainage and Healthy Communities
Project Output:
The project gathered 55 local communities to conduct gotong-royong activity near Kolam Tadahan 1. They cleaned up the drains in the area and release 100 seed of fish into the pond to enhance ecosystem. As a result, no dengue fever case reported during the project duration and less rubbish dump found in the area.

Environment Awareness Project on Effective Waste Management
Project Output:
Students from SMK Agama Al-Irshad learnt about the negative effects of food waste as well as methods to overcome this problem. They are now empowered with the skills of composting and upcycling of trashed items. The school now has food waste composting area.

Project Output:
Successfully engaged 50 local communities to clean-up the tourism park and held fishing competition participated by 50 local communities. Through these activities organised near their residential area , local communities indirectly exposed to the importance of keeping the environment clean.
River Care Training
RIVER Ranger ToT in Terengganu
'Training of Trainer' (ToT) RIVER Ranger program was done with 84 participants at Kem Pusat Kokurikulum Merbau Menyusut in conjunction with World Water Day 2017. The program was launched by Ir. C. Poobalan, director of Department of Irrigation and Drainage Terengganu. In total there were 45 representatives from 12 difference communities.
SMART Ranger ToT in Penang
SMART Ranger training was conducted in Penang on the 8th November 2016 with 5 selected schools participated by 60 school students and teachers.
DRH2O ToT in Perak
A DRH2O Training of Trainers (ToT) were conducted on the 21st January 2017 (Saturday) at Dewan Komuniti Taman Meru 2B, Ipoh with support from Department of National Unity and National Integration. The programme has successfully trained 68 community’s representative from 16 differences community/neighbourhood to become trainers and transfer the skills and knowledge they have gained to their own local communities.
